The Human Resources Unit with the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau-Cordillera Administrative Region (MGB-CAR) began its year with an orientation activity for its Contract of Service (CoS) Personnel.

On January 14, 2022, 31 out of the 33 CoS personnel attended the Orientation activity. Lectures included Basic Gender and Development (GAD) Concepts and Introduction to SOGIESC presented by Ms. Sheila May V. Sanqui, Information Officer and GAD Focal person, Orientation on Ethics and Conduct of Government Personnel by Ms. Elizabeth L. Dalog, Human Resources Management Officer, Republic Act 11032 or Ease of Doing Business by Atty. Ma. Desiree Zan Lud-ayen, Attorney III, Ten Priority Programs of DENR and the programs and activities of MGB-CAR, by Ms. Demetria S. Saleo, Planning Officer. Every division representative also presented the functions of their division and accomplishment targets for the year.  Engr. Gilbert Ayugat presented for the Mine Management Division, Engr. Augustine Baliang, Jr. and Ms. Nellie Codnita presented for the Mine Safety, Environment, and Social Development Division, Mr. John Christian Mapalo represented the Geosciences Division and Ms. Dalog presented for the Finance and Administrative Division and Office of the Regional Director.

The activity closed with a message from MGB-CAR Regional Director Fay W. Apil encouraging everyone to do their best in the performance of tasks assigned and also emphasizing the roles each division and personnel play in the accomplishment of the regional mining bureau’s targets.
